Privacy policy

Private paperwork deserves a private default.

Jezki handles private financial evidence. You choose what enters, possible records wait for your review, and nothing leaves unless you create and share an export.

Summary

Current builds are local-first and do not upload expense evidence to a Jezki backend by default. Exports and shares are user-initiated. Jezki does not use your data for third-party advertising or tracking.

Local-First Storage

Jezki stores expense evidence files and related metadata locally on your device. The core app is designed to work without an account, backend service, cloud OCR provider, subscription, or mandatory Gmail connection.

Data You Choose To Add

Jezki processes only what you choose to give it. That can include receipts, invoices, PDFs, screenshots, manual entries, selected Photos and Files, camera captures, document scans, and share-sheet items.

Related metadata can include merchant names, dates, amounts, tax details, tags, notes, suggested categories, and review state. This metadata is stored locally with your records.

Review Before Records

Extracted fields are suggestions. Possible records must be reviewed and approved by you before they become saved records. A finding waits for your decision; Jezki does not silently file it.

No Tracking Or Advertising

Jezki does not use personal data for third-party advertising or tracking. The current app does not require an account and does not include third-party advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs.

Gmail and source controls

Current builds expose Gmail test mode only. Production Gmail access must remain unavailable unless Google OAuth verification, any required security review, final privacy language, and owner approval are complete.

A future verified source must be optional and transparent, with controls to pause, disconnect, and delete local source state. Every finding enters Review before approval.

App Lock

Optional app lock uses device-owner authentication through iOS, such as Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode. Jezki does not collect biometric templates or passcode values.

Exports and Sharing

You can create and share export packs. Exported CSV, PDF summary, manifest, evidence bundle, and data inventory files may contain private financial evidence and should be shared carefully. This is the point where data can leave your device, only when you choose.

Deletion Controls

The Privacy tab provides local controls for records, candidates, source state, export metadata, preferences, and evidence files, where they can be moved to pending purge. Gmail test-source data has separate local deletion controls.

Future Changes

Any future sync, cloud OCR, accounts, subscriptions, production Gmail release, analytics, crash reporting, third-party SDK, or backend feature requires a privacy re-audit and must be reflected in this policy before release.
